Andi Gladwin

September 19th

Andi Gladwin

Big thank you to Andi for his lecture - He was a brilliant speaker sharing a variety of effects - some were even 'Never seen by magicians before'.

Andi's lecture included a mixture of self working routines, some which required a bit more practice, close up card magic, mentalism and a great stage routine all presetned in a fun and interesting way. Feedback from the group has been great and we look forward to catching up with Andi on the circuit in the future.

Thanks to Damon for hosting.

Mark Elsdon

Mark brought fun and laughter to 3SM, performing his lecture "tricks you might actually do". His passion for workable magic left the club with a wide range of ideas and thoughts on how to make magic memorable yet workable. The lecture was full of powerful effects combined with great humour - Mark knew just the sorts of things to make Magicians laugh! It has been a pleasure, Mark, welcoming you to the club.

Thanks to Craig Davies for hosting.

Matthew Wright

November 14th

Matthew Wright

Matthew entertained us all with his takes on classic routines and modern twists. He approaches magic with a theatrical flair and taught all of us that character development shouldn’t be something to be afraid of and how to create a character which can be used as a core theme in our magic.
Matthew performed in a lively and entertaining way offering as his finale an interesting magical trio - He performed the same effect with three different presentations, each differing greatly and having their own merits – a perfect demonstration of how presentation can dramatically alter a magic trick, be shifted to suit a different performance environment or serve to elevate an effect to new heights.
It was a pleasure to have Matthew at the club and we look forward to welcoming him again in the future. Thank you to Scott for hosting and thank you to Damon for the review, the full version of which can be found in the link below.

Christmas Meal and social.

The Christmas meal was a huge success, with a large chunk of the restaurant filled out just by ourselves.

Sincere thanks to David Oakley for the entertainment and to Eastern Memories for the food - clean plates all around, a great night was had by all.

Eastern Memories is a fantastic Indian restaurant in Cannock, not far from the Longford House. It is a ‘bring your own drinks’ establishment so no ridiculous over priced bar to contend with.  For more details, address and a sample menu please click on the image above and have a look around the Best of Cannock site.

Your Lecture

Your lecture night

It's great to hear from the 'experts' and 'working pros' but lets not forget that we are a club full of experienced members who know a thing or two about magic! Tonight is Mini Lectures performed by club members. Bring along an effect you can demo and share with the club - it could be something old or something new after all this is your lecture night.

Anthony Jacquin

April 30th

Anthony Jacquin and The Head Hacking team.

We are very pleased to welcome Anthony Jacquin and the Head Hacking team to 3SM.

Head Hacking is all about hypnosis and mentalism. For many years hypnotists have sought to shroud their work in secrecy or mystique making some people wonder can it be learnt in the traditional sense.

The Head hacking team are here to show it can be learnt and that hypnosis is as much about technique and understanding as it is personal influenxce and confidence in your skills. Learn how to approach people and safely create an experience your audience will never forget.

If you are new to these areas of magic, previously thought you couldn't do it, or just want to learn more then this is the place for you! A Lecture outline can be found here
